After reaching a new demographic of listeners with their return in 2023, Zango, Witch continues their comeback with this latest release! Often noted as one of the creators of the Zamrock sound which incorporates traditional African instruments into psychedelic rock, funk, and soul, Witch and the rest of the Zamrock movement faded out of the music scene due to political tensions making it almost impossible to perform. Continuing with the sound they created in the 70s and 80s, this is Witch at their most reminiscent and creative best. With standout tracks like “Queenless King”, “Machiriso” and “(In Memory Of) John”, this is essential listening for fans of psychedelic funk and soul.
