Formed in Asheville, Wednesday has grown into one of the most vital indie rock bands of their generation. Fronted by singer and lyricist Karly Hartzman, with Jake Lenderman, Xandy Chelmis, Alan Miller, and Ethan Baechtold, the group has carved out a style that fuses noise rock intensity, country-tinged textures, and sharp, confessional songwriting. Their sound recalls the honesty of Lucinda Williams, the jagged edges of Sonic Youth, and the narrative drive of Bright Eyes, while remaining entirely their own.

Produced by longtime collaborator Alex Farrar at Drop of Sun in Asheville, Bleeds sharpens the band’s trademark “Creek Rock” style into their most cohesive and daring release yet. From the noise-soaked title track to the haunting Carolina Murder Suicide and the unforgettable Reality TV Argument, every song delivers a striking balance of vulnerability, power, and literary precision.
