Washed Out - Within And Without LP Vinyl Record is the chillwave musical project of American singer and producer Ernest Greene. Within and Without is his critically acclaimed debut studio album, released in 2011 via Sub Pop Records.

The album blends ethereal synth-pop with 1990s techno beats, lo-fi aesthetics, and ambient R&B. It is frequently described as "sun-drenched," blissful, and dream-like.

Unlike his earlier bedroom-recorded EPs, this album was produced in a proper studio with Ben Allen (known for his work with Animal Collective). This brought cleaner mixing and more distinct instrumental layers while maintaining the project's signature hazy, blurred vocals.

Key tracks include the euphoric "Amor Fati," the beachy, drifting opener "Eyes Be Closed," and the deeply reflective closer "A Dedication”.
