Originally built by Doctor Fujiyama in order to benefit mankind, Nightbird was stolen by the Decepticons and implanted with an enhanced brain chip that turned her into a butt-kicking machine. With her deadly new abilities, she broke into the Ark and stole the Autobots' World Energy Chip, which contained data vital to the Decepticon's conquest.

Imported from Japan, the Nightbird Shadow Masterpiece Edition includes its original packaging with Japanese-language instructions, along with authentic Takara Tomy design and deco. Nightbird has been designed with a highly original Generation 1 aesthetic, from her classic black, purple and silver paint job, to her sleek, stealthy body shape complete with loads of intricate detailing. She transforms into a futuristic looking Cybertronic car, and comes with an additional unmasked face inspired by her appearance in the Legends comic. Also included are six ninja swords, two blasters, two Electromagnetic Shuriken weapon accessories, three blast effects, and a character card, perfect for extending the highly articulated figure's play and display possibilities.
