The album saw the band more strongly embracing their hardcore, metalcore, and thrash influences while toning down the skate punk vibes, therefore maturing musically and in hand musically. Throughout the album, the reoccurring theme of death makes itself apparent. However, it is done to comfort the listener with the idea rather than scare them with it.
