The Definite Article captures Australian rock legends The Scientists at the absolute peak of their powers, recorded live at The Triffid in Brisbane on November 4, 2017. Featuring the celebrated "Weird Love" lineup of Kim Salmon, Boris Sujdovic, Tony Thewlis, and Leanne Cowie, the band tear through twenty fan favourites with all the raucous, swampy noise that made their reputation.

So thrilled were the band with the performance that they initially released it on cassette through Emmett Kelly's Ha Ha label, selling copies on tour before the run quickly disappeared. Now, In The Red brings this landmark recording to vinyl for the first time, finally giving fans a lasting way to experience one of the band's finest live documents.

Formed in Perth in the late 1970s, The Scientists are widely regarded as pioneers of Australian alternative and swamp rock, fronted throughout their many lineups by the inimitable Kim Salmon.
