Formed in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1996, The Haunted rose from the ashes of At the Gates, with original members Anders and Jonas Björler, Adrian Erlandsson, Patrik Jensen, and Peter Dolving bringing a fresh take to melodic death metal and thrash. Renowned for their unrelenting aggression and precision, the band now deliver their tenth studio album with renewed fury.
Songs Of Last Resort is 40 minutes of tightly honed chaos—12 tracks of pure, punishing energy. From the pummelling opener “Warhead” to the relentless “Labyrinth of Lies,” this is The Haunted at their most focused and aggressive. Mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios (Kreator, Sepultura, Arch Enemy), this release sounds massive, crisp, and utterly merciless.
