Journey across continents and consciousness with The Brian Jonestown Massacre’s most globally expansive record yet. Who Killed Sgt. Pepper? is a bold and boundary-pushing double album from The Brian Jonestown Massacre, recorded between Berlin and Iceland in 2009. 

A sprawling 13-track release, it sees the ever-evolving group blending ambient textures, bhangra beats, shoegaze haze, Eastern European folk flourishes and pure psychedelic rock, all with their signature sonic flair intact. Led by the prolific and unpredictable Anton Newcombe, The Brian Jonestown Massacre originated in San Francisco during the early ‘90s and quickly became cult heroes of the neo-psychedelic revival. 

Their sound is rooted in the spirit of 1960s counterculture but constantly reinvents itself with experimental and genre-defying elements. On this album, they’re joined by Will Carruthers (Spacemen 3, Spiritualized), Icelandic vocalist Unnur Andrea Einarsdottir, and collaborators from across Europe—making this their most multicultural and ambitious work to date.
