The Brian Jonestown Massacre – The Future Is Your Past LP Vinyl Record (Clear Vinyl)

Psychedelia’s most prolific shapeshifters return, immerse yourself in the unpredictable world of The Brian Jonestown Massacre. The Future Is Your Past marks the 20th studio album from the ever-evolving minds of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, recorded in Berlin and remotely between 2020 and 2021.

Helmed by founder and creative force Anton Newcombe, this album sees the band embrace lush soundscapes, hypnotic grooves and hazy guitar work, all while pushing their psychedelic foundations into new territory. Collaborators Hakon Adalsteinsson (guitar) and Uri Rennert (drums) bring added texture and punch to a record that feels both immediate and otherworldly.

Formed in the early '90s in San Francisco, BJM blends neo-psychedelia, garage rock, folk and experimental textures into a style that feels timeless and unbound. Drawing from 1960s psychedelia and krautrock, their sound is a swirling tapestry of retro futurism and lo-fi grit. For over three decades, the band has been a cult institution—known as much for their vast catalogue as their unwavering commitment to artistic exploration.

If you're into bands like Spacemen 3, The Dandy Warhols or The Velvet Underground, you’ll love the ever-shifting, mind-altering world of The Brian Jonestown Massacre
