The Black Lips are back with Bebop Armageddon: Detours & Offcuts From Season Of The Peach, an Indie Exclusive companion piece to their 2025 album Season Of The Peach. This collection of demos, alternate versions, and raw studio experiments captures the band at their most unfiltered, delivering 14 tracks of reckless garage rock energy and strange, magnetic beauty.

Formed in Atlanta, Georgia in 1999, The Black Lips are garage punk outlaws known for their raucous live shows, primitive psychedelia, and Southern-fried swagger. Over the years they have blended 60s garage rock revivalism with elements of Americana, psych, and even hip-hop, carving out a reputation as one of the most unpredictable and vital bands of their era. Their sound has often drawn comparisons to groups like The Sonics, The Seeds, and King Khan & The Shrines.

On Bebop Armageddon, the Lips let loose with analogue tape recordings tracked at Oakley Munson’s Sound At Manor studio in the Catskills. Expect unhinged alternate takes like Kassandra (Alternate Mix), demos such as Judas Pig and Zulu Saints, woozy reimaginings like The Illusion Pt. 1 (Dream Mix), and wild new tracks including Colt 44 featuring King Khan. Ragged, restless, and unapologetically raw, this record is a treasure chest of offcuts for fans who want to hear the band’s sessions in all their untamed glory.
