Written and recorded by lead singer Mike Peters during the final few months of his life while battling a rare and aggressive cancer known as Richter's Syndrome, Transformation brings together the best elements of The Alarm’s lengthy discography. Diagnosed on April 22nd 2024, devastatingly, Mike finally succumbed to this dreadful disease on the 29th April 2025. Transformation is regrettably Mike Peters’ final recorded work.... but it also constitutes Mike's finest output. Positivity, optimism, and an unparalleled determination to fight for life simply explode from this album, whilst the ever-present themes of love, hope and strength - with which Mike Peters and The Alarm have become so synonymous - continue to permeate these remarkable new compositions, providing a fitting testimony to these enduring tenets.
