Stereolab - Instant Holograms On Metal Film 2xLP Vinyl Record (Clear Vinyl)

Celebrate the long-awaited return of Stereolab with Instant Holograms On Metal Film, their first studio album in 15 years. Pressed on clear vinyl, this double LP features 13 new recordings that reaffirm the band’s reputation for creating music that is both sonically adventurous and philosophically rich.

Formed in London in 1990 by Tim Gane and Lætitia Sadier, Stereolab are pioneers of avant-pop, blending motorik rhythms, experimental electronica, and 1960s French pop influences. Their hypnotic grooves, layered harmonies, and politically charged lyrics have inspired generations of artists, earning them comparisons to groups like Broadcast, Can, and Neu!. Across their career, they have remained fearless in combining art, philosophy, and music into a single, distinctive vision.

On Instant Holograms On Metal Film, Stereolab collaborate with an impressive cast of musicians including members of Bitchin Bajas, Cavern of Anti-Matter, and jazz multi-instrumentalist Ben LaMar Gay. Tracks like Mystical Plosives and Melodie Is A Wound embody the band’s unmistakable sound, while If You Remember I Forgot How To Dream unfolds across two parts with dreamlike resonance. This is Stereolab at their most reflective and inventive.

If you love Broadcast, Can, or Neu!, you’ll love Stereolab’s Instant Holograms On Metal Film.
