Radiohead - Pablo Honey LP Vinyl Record

Hailing from Abingdon, Oxfordshire in 1985, Radiohead are an English rock band dabbling in elements of art rock, alt rock, electronica and experimental rock. Pablo Honey is the debut studio album of the massively popular band, released in 1993. The album peaked at number 22 on the UK Albums Chart, with three charting singles and a platinum certification in the UK and other countries.

While not met with the same critical fervour as Radiohead's later releases, the album remains a highly iconic part of the band's history, and as such has been voted as the 61st greatest album of all time by Q Magazine readers, and 100th in Virgin's Top 1000 Albums. The album both opens and closes beautifully with You and Blow Out, two highlights that are large in scope with diverse elements layered in exceptionally, with Thom Yorke's vocals shining through. The release also features the iconic Creep, a song that's often mistaken as a representation of Radiohead's overall sound, but still does well as a reflection of the grunge scene dominant at the time. It's an important release from the Radiohead titans; a quintessential part of the band's former years which has provided a strong basis for their later works.
