Next in Loungefly’s beautifully designed Castle series is Mulan—the story of a strong-willed daughter who disguises herself as a man to protect her elderly father from enlisting in the army to defend their country from invaders.

In the film, Mulan passes for a man named Ping and having learned of her departure, her grandmother prays to the family ancestors for her safety. Mushu, a disgraced former guardian, accidentally destroys the statue chosen to guide Mulan and, desiring to redeem himself, travels to her aid. Mulan goes on to become a great war hero, defeating the evil Shan Yu in a grand fireworks explosion despite her expulsion from the army when her deception is revealed.

This stunning wallet is designed after the closing scenes of the film, featuring the stunning Imperial City palace at the front and center, as brilliant fireworks light up the night sky above. Below, Mushu and Cri-Kee are enjoying the peace and tranqulity of a cherry blossom tree at Mulan’s family home and on the back, Captain Shang Li returns Mulan’s helmet to her and accepts the invitation to stay for dinner.
