From the classic "Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team" series, the fan-favorite Gundam Ground Type joins ver. A.N.I.M.E.! A ground-combat optimized unit deployed to the 04th, 06th, and 08th MS Teams of the Far Eastern Front Army's 1st Mechanized Composite Battalion, better known as the Kojima Battalion.

Built out of surplus parts from the RX-78 Gundam, replacements were limited and repairs were often made from scavenged parts. Its backpack was designed to carry containers of various equipment, making it extremely flexible in its ability to respond to real-world conditions.
