Over plucked acoustic guitar and deftly weighted piano chords, Maple Glider shares intimate vignettes of her life, growing up in a restrictive religious household, falling in and out of love, and the alienation of distance brought on by interstate and international relocations. The result is a record built around lyrics first, in the truest singer-songwriter tradition.

Based in Brighton in the UK, Tori Zietsch experienced deep loneliness abroad, a period that became a powerful catalyst for self-reflection. Returning to Melbourne with a SoundCloud full of demos, she enlisted Tom Iansek of Big Scary and The Paper Kites to help bring the songs to life, recorded at Pieater's Bell Bird studio. Many tracks work through her experience of religion in childhood, while others sit in the messy middle of love, heartbreak, and confusion.

Tori Zietsch, known professionally as Maple Glider, is an Australian singer-songwriter from Melbourne whose deeply personal songwriting often serves as a form of self-catharsis, balanced by a warmth and humour that shines through beyond the music itself.
