Lucy Dacus – Historian LP Vinyl Record

“A fearless leap forward, Historian is a bold and beautiful statement from one of indie rock’s most gifted voices”

Two years after her breakout debut No Burden, Dacus returned with Historian, a stunning 10-track album that finds her tackling life’s heaviest themes with poetic grace and melodic power. From quiet introspection to soaring catharsis, this is an album that demands to be felt as much as heard.

Born in Mechanicsville, Virginia, Lucy Dacus is a singer-songwriter and guitarist celebrated for her vivid lyricism, rich vocals, and dynamic compositions. With Historian, recorded in Nashville with producer Collin Pastore and mixed by John Congleton, she steps into her own as a songwriter of rare depth and clarity. The arrangements—brought to life with help from multi-instrumentalist Jacob Blizard—add layers of lush, cinematic sound to her already powerful narratives.

Exploring themes of loss, memory, politics, and resilience, Historian unfolds as a concept album about facing the worst and choosing hope anyway. It’s emotionally resonant, intellectually sharp, and musically immersive—an instant classic of the indie era.

If you love Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, or Angel Olsen, you’ll love Lucy Dacus’s Historian.

PACKING STANDARDS

We don't like to brag at Popcultcha, but having been in the collectables industry for over 27 years now, we know all about mint condition collectables and the fastidious nature of collecting stuff! What's more is that most of us Popcultcha Peeps are collectors ourselves! What this means for you is that we pack your orders the way we like to receive our own orders, so we take the utmost care in ensuring your goodies get from our HQ to your home safely and securely.

RETURN POLICY

Here at Popcultcha, we take pride in ensuring that your goods are packed carefully and arrive safely to your nominated delivery address. We recognise the importance of buying mint condition collectables and do the best we possibly can to ensure they remain that way from door to door.
