Little Nemo in Slumberland - Little Nemo 8” Statue
A weekly fantasy adventure, Little Nemo in Slumberland featured the young Nemo who dreamed himself into wondrous predicaments from which he awoke in bed in the last panel. Created by Winsor McCay in 1905, the strip is one of the most important in early cartooning, considered a masterpiece for its experiments with the form of the comics page, its use of colour, its timing and pacing, the size and shape of its panels and its architectural detailing.
Infinite Statue have brought to life McCay’s strip as this incredible 8” (20.8cm) statue featuring Little Nemo falling from his bed into Slumberland with his companion Flip watching over him. Based on the original art and colour scheme of McCay’s work, this dynamic piece is a fine tribute to one of the first and most important characters in the world of comics.
