Take Me Apart is the debut studio album by American singer and songwriter Kelela. It was released November 6, 2017.

A combination of electronica and R&B, Kelela creates a futuristic sound on this formidable debut released, incorporating various music styles in a poised yet creative way. She worked on the album for four years and the time spent allowing high quality production execution is evident.

Vocally the artist cannot be faulted, sensual with an understated urgency, while her songwriting is structurally innovative and elementally interesting. Their are layers on layers of sounds and harmonies, but none override the others. They are so cleverly placed, the tracks never feel cluttered or over-sensory.

Contextually, the album explores the emotional arrangement of lost and found love, giving both journeys the value and respect they deserve. Alluring and sensuous, Kelela is an impeccable talent who has found the right people to work with at the right time.
