‘. I :’ (pronounced one) is the twelfth studio album by American guitarist and musician John Frusciante and released on February 3 2023. Released in collaboration with his thirteenth studio album . II : (pronounced two), Frusciante released . I : exclusively on vinyl while . II : can only be found on digital and contains the same tracks except for 2 extras which contain sounds that couldn't be pressed onto vinyl.

After working on the rock albums Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen by Red Hot Chilli Peppers (both released in 2022), Frusciante took a different creative direction to his usual style and developed a more ambient and electronic sound for . I : with synthesizers and analog technology being used rather than his iconic guitar riffs. Despite sounding very different from the usual music expected from Frusciante, this album will be able to reach a new audience, in particular fans of drone and ambient electronic music.
