While John Braheny became one of Los Angeles' most influential songwriting mentors, coaching legends like Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Warren Zevon, and Diane Warren, this singular, mind-expanding album remained largely under the radar.

Blending earthy folk-rock with otherworldly psychedelic soundscapes, Braheny’s singular artistic vision comes to life with intricate arrangements, haunting vocals, experimental electronics, and lush instrumentation—including brass, tuba, and jazz-infused rhythms. With its elaborate production and exploratory sonic textures, Some Kind of Change remains a lost treasure of late-'60s underground music, now revived for Record Store Day 2025.
