Recorded at the legendary Electric Lady Studios in New York City and produced by Gena Johnson and Isbell himself, the album was recorded to accompany a solo tour of historic venues across Europe and the United States.

Hailing from North Alabama, Jason Isbell is an American singer-songwriter known for his narrative-driven lyrics and his ability to weave country, folk, and rock into something entirely his own.
