Immanuel “Immy” Owusu, a Torquay-based artist of Ghanaian-Dutch heritage, draws on his dual musical worlds—the West African highlife and rhythm of his Ghanaian roots and the raw rock ‘n’ roll energy of Australia’s Surf Coast. Teaming up with producer and drummer Sensible J (Sampa The Great, Cool Out Sun, Remi), the pair deliver a fearless blend of Zamrock, Afro-psychedelia, funk, and political punk spirit.

Recorded at J’s iconic House of Beige studio, Spiritual War is an electrifying five-track exploration of injustice, absurdity, and the chaotic beauty of resistance in the modern world. With live instrumentation, layered textures, and spoken truths, it captures the urgency and pulse of a cultural and musical reckoning.
