Tracing the band’s journey from DIY beginnings to global acclaim, Joy In Repetition showcases their unique blend of electronic pop, house, and disco across hits like “Ready for the Floor,” “Over and Over,” “Boy From School,” and “One Life Stand.” Shaped by festival stages, bedroom studios, and countless dancefloors, the record’s title nods to both the band’s own iconic lyric and Prince’s “Joy in Repetition,” reflecting Hot Chip’s endless fascination with rhythm and connection. Legendary artist Peter Blake provides the album artwork, featuring a whimsical painted monkey with a miniature cymbal.

Formed in London in 2000 by Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard, Hot Chip joined by Al Doyle, Owen Clarke, and Felix Martin have earned a reputation as one of Britain’s most vital pop groups.
