Yours Sincerely marks Haruomi Hosono's first collection of new music in over seven years, and at 78 he approaches it with a remarkable sense of curiosity. As he describes it himself, he now carries two musical worlds within him, embracing both the artist he once was and the unknown music his evolving self continues to create.

Moving between tender psych-folk and bubbling avant pop, the album contemplates the idea of a maternal force enveloping the Earth, drawing on humanity's collective understanding of unconditional love and the deeply buried instincts of compassion and mercy that rarely surface in everyday life. The Wire has described this stage of his career as a genuine late-career renaissance, and the album bears that out at every turn.

Haruomi Hosono is a pioneering Japanese musician, producer, and composer, best known as a founding member of Yellow Magic Orchestra and Happy End. Across five decades, his influence has shaped generations of artists.
