Fort Minor's The Rising Tied is the sole studio album by rapper Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park. It was released on November 22, 2005, under Warner Bros. Records and Shinoda's own label, Machine Shop Recordings.
Shinoda took charge of producing the album, while Jay-Z, who previously collaborated with Linkin Park on their EP Collision Course, served as an executive producer. For this project, Shinoda teamed up with his longtime friends from the hip hop group Styles of Beyond, Jonah Matranga, Holly Brook, and Linkin Park turntablist Joe Hahn. Additionally, he collaborated with various renowned and underground hip-hop and R&B artists like Common, John Legend, Black Thought, Lupe Fiasco, Kenna, Eric Bobo, Sixx John, and Celph Titled.
