Two of New Zealand's greatest musical institutions joined forces in 1996 to create something truly special, and thirty years on, ENZSO arrives on vinyl for the very first time. Presented as a 2LP in a gatefold jacket with insert sheet, this anniversary edition gives a landmark recording the format it has long deserved.

Conceived and arranged by former Split Enz keyboardist and sound engineer Eddie Rayner, ENZSO brought together the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and the New Zealand Youth Choir alongside members of the original Split Enz band and prominent pop and opera vocalists to reimagine some of the most beloved songs in New Zealand music history. The result went on to sell multi-platinum across New Zealand and Australia, cementing its place as a genuine cultural touchstone.

Split Enz were a pioneering New Zealand art rock band formed in Auckland in 1972, celebrated for their theatrical performances, eccentric visual style, and the songwriting genius of brothers Tim and Neil Finn. Their catalog of intelligent, melodic pop rock reveals just how timeless and orchestrally rich that songwriting always was beneath the surface.
