The third studio album from legendary American Rock band, The Eagles' 1974 release, “On The Border” sees the band diverge from their initial Country Rock sound. Wanting to take on a more Hard Rock direction, the band reconvened with a new producer Bill Szymczy. While the resulting album is not an outright rock effort, it is clearly a “harder” album, pointing towards the bands future direction.

Enduringly listenable, the songs from “On The Border” still sound fresh, energetic and hold an emotional punch, even all these years after its release. Rock ’n’ Roll, Bluegrass, Country-Rock and elements of R&B, the album explores an array of sounds in a well-executed transition effort by the band. A classic album from a classic band.
