Despite five years in between studio albums, Down returned in all of their filthy stoner metal glory with their third full length release. Taking inspiration from the murder of Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell and hurricane Katrina, Over The Under might be Down’s angriest album with some of the hardest hitting lyricism being provided. Full of heavy riffs and pounding drums, the feeling of sludge metal becomes more prominent than previous entries and showcases more of Down’s experimental sound.
