Dororo - Hyakkimaru x Sculptor Kamitsure 1/7th Scale Statue
As the main protagonist of the Dororo series, Hyakkimaru serves as a Ronin searching for parts of his body that were stolen by demons. He's possessed by an undying deterimination to regain his body parts, no matter the cost, at times resulting in a darker side of his character being revealed.
Good Smile Company and Sculptor Sayoko Kamitsure have combined efforts to bring us this awesome rendition of Hyakkimu as a 1/7th Scale Statue, standing at 27cm tall. Sayoko Kamitsure set out to sculpt the character in a way that captures his intensity from the front, while showing an aura of loneliness when viewed from the back.
The prosthetic limbs were sculpted with care, simulating articulated joints to look like they're actually movable. Extra attention has also been given to the differences between his real leg and prosthetic leg atop the rocky base, giving it an eye-catching aesthetic highly reminiscent of the character in the series. Posed as though Hyakkimaru has just finished a battle, his tattered clothes billow in the wind, while he gazes into the distance with a stern look of dedication. An epic piece that preserves the detail of the anime beautifully and expertly captures its atmosphere. It's an absolute must for fans of Dororo.
