Introducing Loungefly’s Princess Stories series, continuing with the tale of the Sleeping Beauty cursed by Maleficent, Princess Aurora!

In Disney’s 1959 film, Princess Aurora is cursed by Maleficent to die on her sixteenth birthday by pricking her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel. Three kind fairies, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather, manage to lift the curse’s power to an endless sleep. Still, the King and Queen fear for their daughter’s life, and task the fairies with protecting Aurora deep in the forest to nullify the curse. When Aurora is lulled into pricking her finger, it’s Prince Phillip who defeats Maleficent and breaks the curse with true love’s kiss.

This stunning pink accessory captures Aurora in the arms of her Prince Phillip on the front, dancing among the clouds in a dream-like scene. Silhouettes of birds pour in on the beautiful scene and is framed by gorgeous applique, while the back is adorned with beautifully embroidered flowers, foliage and sequins.
