As new discoveries have been made over the years, and scientific research has gleamed more evidence, the look of Dinosaurs have continued to evolve in accordance with the findings. When the Tyrannosaurus Rex was first discovered it was believed that the ferocious dinosaur stood upright and used its tail for support, however through extensive research the T-Rex was found to actually stand horizontally.
The modern appearance of the Tyrannosaurus Rex wasn’t shown in films until the release of Jurassic Park, however this statue captures the retro-style look in the vain of classic stop motion animation films, forming part of a new series of statues by Gecco Co named Dinomation.
The stylised statue has been expertly sculpted and painted by RYO to appear as though it has been taken straight from a frame of old footage, capturing the wildness and scale of the creature but with the appearance of a traditional clay sculpt as used in those films.
Standing approximately 6.69” tall, the world’s most famous dinosaur marks the start of the Dinomation statue series, and comes showcased on a themed base depicting the desert landscape of North America where they lived during the Cretaceous period.
