Written during a period of personal upheaval, the album lays bare themes of anxiety, heartbreak, and self reflection. Tracks like “Carousel,” “Frida, 1939,” and “Car Crash” balance shimmering melodies with heavy lyrical weight, pairing polished production with brutally honest songwriting.

Formed in Norfolk in 2005, Deaf Havana evolved from post hardcore roots into a melodic, emotionally driven rock act led by frontman James Veck Gilodi. Their sound blends alternative rock with galvanising choruses and confessional lyricism.
