Cinematic, confessional, and completely unfiltered—Voyager is Current Joys’ most expansive and emotionally charged album to date. The seventh full-length release from Nick Rattigan’s solo project, Voyager trades lo-fi minimalism for a widescreen sonic vision.

Recorded with a full band at Stinson Beach Studios, the album pairs Rattigan’s raw, vulnerable songwriting with lush orchestration, guiding listeners through a sweeping 16-track journey of self-exploration and existential reckoning. Inspired by the stylised storytelling of directors like Hitchcock, Tarkovsky, and Agnès Varda, Voyager feels like a soundtrack to a film you haven’t seen yet—but somehow already know by heart.

Rattigan, who also drums and sings for Surf Curse, began releasing music as Current Joys after early DIY projects under various aliases. His sound blends garage rock, shoegaze, bedroom pop, and no-wave balladry into something wholly his own. On Voyager, he opens new emotional and sonic territory while still preserving the urgent, soul-baring intensity that defines his work.
