Step into a haunted vision—The Light Is Leaving Us All is an eerie, poetic masterpiece from experimental legends Current 93, now reissued on limited edition picture disc vinyl. Originally released in 2018, this deeply personal and esoteric album finds Current 93’s David Tibet at his most visionary, weaving together dreams, biblical and Akkadian texts, unsolved murders, and apocalyptic folk soundscapes. 

The result is a work that feels more like a séance than a record—filled with spectral melodies, whispered prophecies, and the uncanny echo of Britain’s strange histories. The title, gifted to Tibet in a dream, sets the tone for the record’s obsession with soul, light, and absence. Founded in 1982 by David Tibet, Current 93 is a shifting collective rooted in folk and industrial traditions, blending spoken word, sacred text, and ambient unease. Known for coining the term “apocalyptic folk,” Tibet and his collaborators—including Thomas Ligotti, Reinier van Houdt, Alasdair Roberts, Ossian Brown, and others—create a unique sonic and literary world unlike any other.

This special 12" picture disc edition features refreshed artwork by Rob Hopeye, remastered audio by The Bricoleur at Bladud Flies!, and is housed in a die-cut sleeve with full-colour printing inside and out.

Popcultcha will only accept returns, process refunds, or exchange goods if we are contacted or notified within 7 days of you receiving the goods at your nominated delivery address. Upon us receiving the notification of damage or a manufacturing issue, we may request photographic evidence of the parcel and/or the particular product that has the issue. We will review this photo and contact you at our earliest convenience to discuss you options in relation to the product issue.
