A howl in the dark, a prayer wrapped in dread—Dogs Blood Rising is a harrowing and essential early statement from Current 93, reissued now in a hauntingly beautiful picture disc edition. First released in 1984 as the follow-up to Nature Unveiled, Dogs Blood Rising dives even deeper into the apocalyptic visions and esoteric obsessions of David Tibet.

Rawer, more abrasive, and emotionally tormented, this record plays like a bad trip refracted through theological horror and industrial noise. Recorded partly at London’s Roundhouse Studios and partly in lo-fi squats, its intensity is palpable—from the eerie ritualism of “Christus Christus (The Shells Have Cracked)” to the chilling lament “Falling Back In Fields Of Rape.”

Remastered by The Bricoleur at Bladud Flies! and presented in a full-colour die-cut sleeve with refreshed artwork by Rob Hopeye, this 12" vinyl picture disc is part of the first wave of official Current 93 reissues. Strictly limited and never to be repressed in this format again, it’s a vital relic from one of industrial and experimental music’s most unsettling minds.
