Court of the Dead - Muse of Spirit: Atelier Cryptus 16” Doll
"I went away, deep inside my head, you see? That is where I always go, when I need to discover something I hadn't yet thought of as discoverable."
Let the Underworld inspire you to achieve your wildest dreams and darkest desires with the three Muses from the Court of the Dead, stunningly conjured to life with these haunting dolls by Sideshow Collectibles.
Oriana, the Muse of Spirit, emerged from deep within the True Spirit along with her sisters, the Muse of Bone and the Muse of Flesh, to bring hope and guidance to the fledgling Death long before he built the Underworld and its capital city, Illverness. As a source of inspiration and whimsy, the wild Muse of Spirit forever ponders her place in the cosmos and the impact she and her sisters have on the the world, believing she is inherently connected to all things and that existence itself has a power so enchanting that it could wake the dead… and in the Underworld, it often does.
The Muse of Spirit is depicted looking as graceful as ever in a delicate costume with golden locks, gliding on feet adorned with wisps of etherea wrapping around her toes and ankles, as she ponders the beyond with soulful pearl-like eyes and her mouth ever so slightly open in faint contemplations. Offbeat and uniquely creepy, the Muse of Spirit is an intricate and complicated creature that encapsulates the Spirit Faction, being sagacious, eccentric and enlightened.
"We wanted to keep her light and airy to give her a sense of weightlessness," says Esther Skandunas, Costume Fabrication Artist. "She is not weighed down by the flesh of her body, or the structure of her bones as the other Muses are. Her colour pallet is very pale, as if she is drained of colour. Her fabrics are mostly sheer and almost weightless. The pannier structure beneath the skirt of the dress allows extra play with the skirts of her dress. You can drape them back over the cage to reveal more of the cage of the pannier structure, which also reveals her dainty undergarments."
With ball-jointed articulation in her ankles, knees, hips, wrists, elbows, waist, shoulders, and neck, plus custom eye plug-ins and magnetic hand attachments, this finely crafted resin doll is highly pose-able and customisable to create your own dark fantasy display.
Evoke the true essence of Spirit in your collection with the Muse of Spirit: Atelier Cryptus 16” Doll.
