Originally released in 1995, Self Totalled captures the Cosmic Psychos at the top of their game—more refined, but just as raw. Across ten tracks of distortion-drenched punk rock, the band double down on their trademark blend of driving rhythms, fuzzed-out guitars, and dry-as-dust wit. From neighbourhood misadventures to chaotic relationships and pub brawls, it’s working-class rock with no filter and no fuss.

Formed in 1982 and renamed in 1984, the Cosmic Psychos quickly became legends of Australia’s punk and pub rock scenes. Their sound—a muscular mash of punk, garage, and sludge—helped influence the rise of grunge in the US, with fans including Pearl Jam and Mudhoney. Self Totalled is a perfect entry point: tight performances, gritty humour, and pub-thumping anthems delivered with unapologetic charm.
