Let the static hum and lo-fi hiss guide you—Your Day Will Come is a dreamlike debut that slips between memory and digital distortion, pulling emotion from the abstract. Your Day Will Come marks the first full-length release from Chanel Beads, the genre-bending project of New York City-based artist Shane Lavers. Released via Jagjaguwar, this album explores the tension between the intimate and artificial, blending experimental pop, acoustic textures, and glitchy, low-fidelity samples to create a haunting, deeply human sound.

It’s as if the record was pulled from a shared dream, where timelines blur and emotion remains the only constant. Lavers, known for his fascination with flawed MP3s and transitional sonic spaces, strips away ego and allows his collaborators. Vocalist Maya McGrory and violinist Zachary Paul to shape the emotional arc of the record.

Their contributions lend the album a sense of fluid identity, weaving through and around Lavers’ fragile head voice. Tracks like “Idea June” and “Police Scanner” push the form of pop into uncanny new dimensions, where vulnerability and imperfection are the point.
