Buio Omega (Beyond The Darkness) - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack By Goblin LP Vinyl Record (Translucent Green Coloured Vinyl)
Released in 1979, Beyond the Darkness or Buio Omega in Italian, was an Italian horror film directed by Joe D'Amato. Starring Kieran Canter, Cinzia Monreala, Franci Stoppi and Sam Modestro, the plot follows Francesco, an orphan who inherits a house in the woods. After the housekeeper kills Francesco's girlfriend, he steals her corpse from the local cemetery, before comitting murders connected to his enduring passion for her.
Released in 2019 under the Dealth Waltz label, the Buio Omega Original Motion Picture Soundtrack features the score originally produced by the prog rock band Goblin. The score has been noted for elevating the film to new heights, with soaring synthesisers, rattling drums, and funky beats, some have suggested that the score is a masterpiece far better than the film probably deserves!
