Record Store Day 2020 Ambassador Brandi Carlile holds strong ties to her hometown Seattle. Her release pays tribute to one of the region's most legendary bands and one of her strong influences, Soundgarden. Featuring Soundgarden's guitarist Kim Thayil, drummer Matt Cameron and bassist Ben Shepherd, this recording is a beautiful rendition of their classics "Black Hole Sun" and "Searching With My Good Eye Closed."

Featuring hit songs from the acclaimed Soundgarden albums Superunknown and Badmotorfinger, “A Rooster Says" offers emotional, passionate and heartfelt covers, that are well suited to Carlile’s vocals. A fantastic tribute to legend Chris Cornell, this single offers a great new take on the beloved songs.
