‘Encouraging Words’ is the fifth studio album by American soul singer Billy Preston and initially released on September 11 1970. Celebrate this iconic album with a special Gold coloured vinyl!

Marking Preston’s second and final project for the Beatles' Apple label before signing with A&M Records, Encouraging Words is often considered one of his best additions to his discography. Co-produced by Preston and George Harrison, the album featured the first released versions of two of Harrison's biggest hits which appeared two months ahead of Harrison's own recordings on his landmark triple album, All Things Must Pass. Preston's take on "My Sweet Lord" was issued as a single and reached #90 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1971. Encouraging Words has been praised by critics as one of Apple's strongest non-Beatles releases and a must have in any 70s themed vinyl collection.

With standout tracks like “I've Got A Feeling”, “Right Now” and “The Same Thing Again", this is essential listening for fans of 70s soul and funk.
