"Sleep On The Wing”, a new ten track EP from Bibio (Stephen Wilkinson), has arrived about a year after his previous work "Ribbons". This project travels Wilkinson's familiar footpath of following up an album with an EP that explores similar sounds. This project draws its influence from a variety of styles ranging from traditional folk, peaceful atmospheric soundscapes and field recordings from the natural world.
This release is much more instrumental focused with only two tracks featuring vocals. The songs wrap themselves in blissful mid-20th century folk, acoustic sweetness and ambient synth sounds, giving the record large atmospheric sound to get lost in.
Pressed on Classic Black Vinyl.
