Beirut – A Study Of Losses 2xLP Vinyl Record (Etched Blue Coloured Vinyl)

Step into a world of fragile beauty and deep reflection with A Study Of Losses, the seventh studio album from Beirut—Zach Condon’s ever-evolving musical project. Pressed on etched blue coloured vinyl, this expansive 18-track release is Beirut’s most ambitious and hauntingly elegant record to date.

Originally composed for a contemporary circus production based on the novel An Inventory of Losses by German author Judith Schalansky, A Study Of Losses explores themes of disappearance, impermanence, and forgotten histories. From extinct species to lost architecture and fading memories, the album is a contemplative soundtrack to absence and erosion. Condon’s trumpet-led melodies, ambient textures, and chamber-pop arrangements unfold with quiet power—blending intimacy and grandeur in equal measure.

What began as a one-man project from Santa Fe, New Mexico has grown into one of indie music’s most distinctive voices. Beirut is known for its singular blend of world music influences, drawing from Balkan brass, French chanson, and gypsy-punk while rooted in indie-folk songwriting. A Study Of Losses marks a return to the deeply cinematic and emotionally resonant compositions that defined early works like The Flying Club Cup and The Rip Tide.

If you love Sufjan Stevens, Sigur Rós, or Andrew Bird, you’ll love Beirut’s A Study Of Losses.
