Batman emerges from plumes of thick smoke, his hooked hands wielding a sharp scythe. The vigilante's namesake creatures swarm around him in a dizzying cloud of claws and teeth. His leather cape billows alongside their veiny black wings, emphasising the preternatural quality of that angular, apocalyptic armor. A grim expression and heroic stance indicate that this war is coming to a close, and Batman is prepared to fight for justice at any cost.

Originally created as a variant cover for Dark Nights Death Metal #7 (2021), written by Scott Snyder for DC Comics, this Batman art is now available to fans as an unframed giclée print. Each Batman Dark Nights: Death Metal Fine Art Print features an authorised, automated signature and an embossed Seal of Authenticity as part of the limited edition of 150 pieces.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

MARCO MASTRAZZO

Born in 1989, self-taught, he graduated as a surveyor and then devoted himself to drawing. In 2016, thanks to Roberto Recchioni, he made his debut on Dylan Dog with a cover for the Color Fest. In 2017 he collaborated with Editoriale Cosmo signing the covers of Caput Mundi and with Scuderia Ferrari creating posters for the 2017 and 2018 F1 World Championships. He is the official cover designer of Dylan Dog Special for Sergio Bonelli Editore and of the Dylan Dog published by Epicenter Comics for the American market.
