Dr Robert Bruce Banner is a renowned scientist who tried to recreate the Super Solider Serum which originated Captain America in WW2, but when an exposure to high levels of Gamma Radiation went awry he was plagued with a condition then when angered or provoked he would transform into a rage-fueled, mindless, green monkey known as The Hulk.
In Age of Ultron, Bruce does not want to be The Hulk anymore, after losing control and risking the lives of civilians, but joins the Avengers at the Battle of Sokovia against Ultron for one last battle.
