Anohni and the Johnsons – My Back Was A Bridge For You To Cross LP Vinyl Record (White Vinyl)
ANOHNI reemerges with My Back Was A Bridge For You To Cross, her first album since 2016’s Hopelessness, this time reuniting with The Johnsons—marking a soulful and emotional artistic chapter that harks back to her Mercury Prize-winning roots.
Anohni, originally from West Sussex and now based in New York City, is known for her work as a singer, songwriter, and visual artist. Produced by Jimmy Hogarth (Amy Winehouse), this deeply human collection responds to Marvin Gaye’s eternal question, What’s Going On, with tenderness and power. ANOHNI describes the record as a call for support, saying, “I’m sounding the bugle for the people who need support, or relief, or reprieve.”
This white vinyl pressing captures her signature blend of vulnerability, soul, and avant-garde beauty.
