Upon its release in 2000, Cameron Crowe’s “Almost Famous” received widespread critical acclaim. The iconic film follows the story of a teenage journalist writing for Rolling Stone in the early 1970s, touring with the fictitious rock band Stillwater, and his efforts to get his first cover story published. A total of 5 songs by the film's fictitious band Stillwater featured on the theatrical release and 1 more on the director's cut, their music was written by Nancy Wilson & Peter Frampton whose songs later received their own release following popularity.
Presented here are seven demos of the songs that were recorded for “Almost Famous" by Stillwater. Five of the songs recorded by Nancy Wilson and two by Peter Frampton, this is the first time these brilliant versions are available in the vinyl format.
