2001: A Space Odyssey - Discovery One 1/500 Scale Replica Model

Designed by Walter Curnow for Project Jupiter in 1994, Discovery One's original mission was to observe and study Jupiter, but was later repurposed to investigate a mysterious radio signal detected from Saturn's moon lapetus. The flight-crew consisted of five astronauts, with three in cryogenic hibernation while en-route.

Coming in at 10" in length, the Discovery One has been created as a 1/500 Scale Replica Model by Bellfine. Featuring a high level of detail and exquisite painting, the model is perfect for fans of Kubrick and Clarke's iconic space ship design.

Included is a lunar themed display stand.

Please note that the model is pre-built and pre-painted, no construction or painting is required.
