X-Men - Wolverine Brown Costume Premium Format Statue
I'm Wolverine. I'm the best there is at what I do. But what I do best isn't very nice.
In 1982 Chris Claremont and Frank Miller pieced together a four-issue miniseries featuring Wolverine - his first solo title. The material has been heralded as a turning point for his character, portraying him for the first time outside of the X-Men since his debut fighting the Hulk in 1974. The series fleshed out the Logan character and introduced the tone and ruthlessness that Wolverine is now known for, balancing his human life and his animalistic rage.
Set in Japan, Logan has traveled there to locate his girlfriend Mariko Yashida, who has returned to her homeland without explanation. A story of heartbreak and personal honour, what is commonly known as ‘The Japan Saga’ is all the world would see for a standalone Logan story until 1988.
This figure by Sideshow Collectables draws influence from Wolverine’s Japanese adventure in this new Premium Format Statue. Standing 20” tall, this expertly sculpted figure portrays Wolverine crouched upon a snowy bridge riddled with arrows from unseen assailants. Portrayed in the brown costume that featured in the 1982 miniseries, collectors can define the look of their favourite mutant with masked and unmasked interchangeable heads.
